Unity - The Other Side of You - Soul Direction
B/W - Going To a Carnival
Condition - Mint (New Release)
The latest new release from Soul Direction. A superb 70s Group soul track backed with a sublime sweet soul ballad.
Previously unreleased from the master tapes of the The Decisions.
Following on from the enormous success of the first two releases by The Decisions on Soul Direction and courtesy of Decisions we give you another double sided masterpiece from master tapes kindly provided by the band. The 5 young men who formed The Decisions, originally started their own Record Label – York Records in the late 60s and recorded two releases on the label which to this day are still very sought after amongst soul collectors.
They then went onto record for Sussex Records in the early 70s. The Los Angeles-based label founded by Clarence Avant and distributed by Buddah Records. These two tracks were recorded between 1973 and 1975 when The Decisions made the break from Sussex Records to form the group “Unity”. They went onto write and record one release on the Apex Label which was a creation of Fred White.
On these 2 previously unreleased tracks, Henry Little Jnr. sang the lead on “The Other Side of You” and Fred White sand lead on “Going to A Carnival”, both tracks penned by Fred White.
They also recorded to master tapes several sweet soul ballads and crossover soul tracks that until now have remained untouched. Look out for these and others in the future.
